Is an implant the right option?
An implant replaces a missing tooth root and supports a restoration. Ask whether an existing tooth can be preserved and compare a bridge, removable replacement or no treatment. The decision requires a dental examination, not a smile photograph alone.
Plan the visits before the flights
Separate implant placement from the final teeth in your written itinerary. Bone healing commonly takes months; grafting or staged treatment may extend the plan. Ask what temporary teeth are possible and which checks must be completed before the next visit. A fixed return date cannot confirm healing.
What should the written estimate include?
Request a breakdown for each implant, abutment and final crown or bridge. Clarify imaging, extractions, any graft, temporary teeth, laboratory work, reviews and possible additional treatment. Confirm accommodation and transfers separately. No universal package or price applies to every mouth.
Risks and long-term care
Implants may fail to integrate, and components can loosen or wear. Smoking increases some risks. Ask about your individual risk factors, cleaning and regular reviews. Continuing contact after returning home does not replace a local examination when one is needed.
Questions before you book
Can I finish everything in one trip?
Only an examination can establish the stages. Temporary and final teeth are different; do not assume immediate final loading is suitable.
Is an online assessment a final diagnosis?
No. It helps prepare questions; the clinical examination and appropriate investigations confirm suitability.
What should I clarify about the second visit?
Ask how healing will be assessed, when to confirm travel and what happens if the final restoration must be postponed.
